Uber added new feature that allows riders to pick up friends from different locations along the trips. In past, uber have only allowed rider to request ride from point to point location. This feature allows users to add up to three destination to their route.

This multi-stop feature is more convenient for riders and best choice to pick up the friends or other persons to get everyone to meet same place. To add multiple stops to an trip, tap “where to?” and then the plus sign “+” option to add another addresses of their stop and request a ride.

If users need to change the place of the stop during trip, the they can add and remove stops in the middle of a ride. Driver will automatically receive the directions for each stops so the ride can sit back and relax while a ride.

Driver will able to see the entire route with all the stops while pickup the rider. At each stop, the driver will acknowledge that they have arrived at the stop before the direction of next stop are given.

In multi stops option user can split the fare, like the cost of the entire journey will be divided equally. If rider spends more than 3 minutes for other stop, then that wait time will be reflected in the final fare.

Uber says that this new multi stop feature is now live on both iOS and Android platform. They have the most recent version of the Uber app. Riders need to update app with the latest version of Uber to use this feature. Then users can frequently use this new feature for theirr trips.
