How to use Voiceover in Uber?
Uber’s goal is to make transportation more accessible to people with disabilities. They are masters in building apps which can help easily move around their communities. The riders with disability can do the following actions independently in the app without anyone support to enjoy their trip
Setting Rider’s Destination
On the home screen, double tap on the "Where to?" button. This will activate destination search, Uber may suggest "shortcuts" which appear along the bottom of screen. Double tap to select your destination, then proceed to the confirmation screen.
Changing Pickup Location
Pickup location will be set automatically using GPS. If you wish to enter manually double tap on the "Where to?" button in the home screen. Before choosing your destination, flick left to highlight the "Pickup location" field and double tap to edit. Once you have entered your desired pickup location, the app will automatically switch you back over to destination entry mode.
Menu Options
The Menu can be accessed by tapping on the top left of the screen. Payment, Your trips, Free Rides, Help, and Settings options are available.
Selecting A Vehicle Type
Upon selecting a destination, you'll be taken to the confirmation screen to select a vehicle type and request a ride. The vehicle types are organized into pages of tiers. You can flick between options in each tier and use a three finger swipe to scroll between tiers. Each vehicle type will give you a price quote and an estimated time to destination. Double tap on a vehicle type to select it.
Editing Trip Informations
You can also edit your pickup or destination location on this screen by double tapping on the corresponding element on the confirmation screen. Note that the Driver ETA is listed in the pickup location element.
Sharing Status
You can share the status of your trip with a friend while waiting for your driver or while on trip. Flick right until you've highlighted the "Share Status" button. Select the contacts you want to share status with, and Uber will send a text message to a friend with a link to track your trip.
Split A Fare
Tap the "Split Fare" button. Your contacts list will populate, and you can use Siri dictation or manually type in a friend's name to split a fare.
Rate Your Driver Option
After completing a trip, a rating card will appear at the bottom of the home screen. Selecting any number of stars will present a screen where you can choose from a number of options to characterize your review.
